Honorable Mention: It's hard to say that the Cardinals were necessarily MUT 24 Coins doing a terrible thing when they selected Matt Leinart with the 10th overall pick in 2006, after all you need a quarterback in this league and Kurt Warner was just going to keep the seat warm, but would due diligence on the commitment of Leinart have prompted them to go another direction? Like Jay Cutler, Haloti Ngata, Kamerion Wimbley, or Chad Greenway? Or really anyone that hasn't made only 18 starts in six years.
Smith was the second overall pick in 2009. For all intents and purposes, he is one of the least valuable second overall picks in Madden NFL 24 history, having had three bad seasons for the Rams followed by a bad year for the Jets, which could possibly be followed by a bad year for the Saints in 2013. But how much better could the Rams have done? You also won't see on this list: Tyson Jackson, Aaron Curry, Mark Sanchez, Andre Smith, Darrius Heyward-Bey, Eugene Monroe, or Aaron Maybin. The top of the 2009 draft is awful, nobody wins.
If you could justify Janikowski as the greatest kicker in history, as you of course can not do, it still would not justify taking him with the 17th overall pick. There simply isn't any justification for doing so when the greatest kickers of all-time can quite obviously be picked in the fourth round, even when you know they are that great.
Foles has completed 21-of-26 passes for 400 yards and seven touchdowns. Not only has he been the best quarterback in Sunday's game, but Foles has been the best quarterback of the entire Madden NFL 24 weekend so far and is on pace for the best game of all time. The Oakland Raiders defenders are no Madden Coins buy slouches, but the team has no answer for a reliable pocket passer who's picking apart its secondary.
